Last weekend we had the first FBA contest for the new 2008 season. Good turnout for another chapter in the history books.

The waves are still coming to Florida. I just came back from Melbourne Beach where I competed in the PINEAPPLE contest. I got 1st place and took home a nice and sweet pineapple. A long day at the beach, surfing, judging, you name it. Also, I just got picked up by SURFSLING, great product for any surfer out there, check them out!!

The last 4 weeks have been so good in Florida. Every week, I've been in the East Coast for so massive swell, surfing over Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Ponce Inlet, New Smyrna Beach, Satellite Beach, Sebastian Inlet, Spanish House, you name it. Last weekend I competed in the 2008 ESA Southeast Regionals, good waves, good to see some old friends and make new friends. I placed 3rd after a good competitive final.

Winter has been weird this year. We've been getting more waves into late winter than any other year. Here at home, waves every week for at least last 5 weeks. East coast has een some solid action as well, like last thursday, some solid 6ft plus glassy I got in Daytona Beach, same thing next day in atellite Beach. Besides plenty of free surfing, last weekend the FBA # 4 took place in Flagler Beach, closing the books on the season. This was my first year as a full-time FBA Director.

Last weekend I had the chance to compete in the FBA # 3 contest. I was stoked to compete with the rest of the guys. It's been a while since last time I did a FBA event, as you may now, I'm the one doing the work behind the stage for the FBA.

Last weekend I competed in the first WFL/CFL ESA, 2 district competing together and agianst each other. Too bad the waves were so small and the red tide almost killed me. I got 4th place.

Getting back home from North Carolina. The Outer Banks were on fire, we got cought in the middle of Hurricane Noel, waves were 8-10 ft in the inside, don't wanna know how big the outside was. The MOREY PRO-AM was pretty fun, good to see old friends and new faces. I got put out in the semifinals for the Open Men division. I didn't do good in the contest, but we did catch the biggest waves in a while.

Just getting back home from North Carolina. 2 weeks of surf and fun with friends. Waves were not that good this year, actually, there were bad. At EASTERNS, I made it all the way to the semifinals where I got pu out. Even thou, it was one of my favorite trips to Hatteras.

Labor Day weekend is a must for the NKF Surf Festival. I always enjoy doing this contest, it is for a great cause and whatever I can do to help, I'll do it. Waves were very small but I got the 3rd place.

The signing autograph session with World Champion at RON JONS and the FBA # 1 contest was all a huge success. I'm so stoked to work together with so many people to have a great weekend in Bodyboarding history here in Florida, check fbatour.com for more info.

Just got off the plane from Puerto Rico. My 3rd trip this year to the island. We got the last swell of the season, some solid 6-8 ft waves all week long. It was a fun week.

Just getting back home after a week in the east coast. New Smyrna beach held the 2007 ESA Southeast Regionals this past weekend. After barely making the final, I got 3rd place. I really felt the heat in this finals, congrats to the guys, it was a good heat overall.

Great to be back home after another trip to Puerto Rico. I was there for a week, trying to catch the last of the winter season. It's allways good time to be in Puerto Rico, the week was an average of 5-6 ft waves with good conditions.

Last contest for the 2006 season took place this past saturday for CFL ESA. I placed 2nd in the Open Bodyboard division. Now, getting ready for Puerto Rico.

Very busy weekend between an ESA contest on saturday and also the SURF EXPO all weekend long in Orlando. Got a first place in the contest for a local CFL ESA in Cocoa Beach and spent most of the weekend at the EXPO, it always having fun there.

I just got back from my trip to Puerto Rico, 2 weeks surfing all over the island from north to south. The best days were 7-8 ft with glassy conditions.

This past weekend, the FBA event # 3 took place at Conova Beach Park, Melbourne Beach, Fl. Saturday 12/2/06 was the day and weather was nice and warm. Waves were 2-3 ft and glassy most of the morning.

The TOMMY TANT Memorial Suf Classic was a huge succes this past weekend in Flagler Beach, Fl. Waves were small but fun with glassy conditions. I got put out in the PRO division and I got 4th place in the OPEN division. I didn't do great but this is the kind of contest that I would do, regardless of the results.

After so many cancelations and re-schedule issues, we had this weekend the first contest of ESA CFL for the year. Conditions were ok and I got a first place.

Just got back home from North Carolina, was there for a whole week with a good swell in the 6-8 ft all most of the week. The ESA EASTERNS was a good show for bodyboarding, I got put out in the second round, but the final was a great show, with my friend Jorge Colomer killing it all the way.

The first FBA contest went down at Conova Beach Park. I got put out right away, but my main job was backstage. Between Carlos Jenkins and myself, we got together to get the Florida Bodyboarding Association going.

Labor Day weekend in Florida is the time to put some effort to a good cause, the National Kidney Foundation, they put together one of the biggest surf contest in the country for a great fundraising purpose. Too bad this year, waves didn't wanna cooperate, with no waves for me, I had to take the 5th place.

The Pineapple Surf Contest went down this weekend in Merlbourne Beach, Fl, it's one of the oldest contest in Florida. I placed 3rd in Open Bodyboard. Conditions were not that great, but something different for a flat summer.

This week we have the Tropical Storm Alberto coming trought he gulf. The first one of the year an is right in our backyard. Down South we cought it with glassy conditions, 6-8 ft and good barrels.

The first contest for the ABA 2006 season went down in Kitty Hawk, NC this past weekend. Conditions were minimum but everyone was present. It was a great event with big time support from guys like Brandon Foster, Jason Bitzer, Colin Herlihey and of course myself, by the way, I took 1st place in masters, sweet. I really had a good time in this one.

Last weekend we had the ESA Southeast Regionals in Sebastian Inlet, Fl. Conditions were gnarly, 6-8 ft plus with winds of 20-25 mph and just choppy as hell. I felt bad for the youngsters. Anyway, I blew this one out of proportion, I couldn't have my game together, so I got eliminated in semifinals. It sucks.

Last few days have been good for waves, in the gulf, we had 2 decent cold fronts, bringing some fun waves last week, surfed in Venice for both swells. This week the East Coast had one of the biggest swell so far for the year, nice and glassy overhead sets, anyone could get stoked on that.

Yesterday I got my 6th and last contest for the ESA season. I placed 1st. Conditions were not good, waves were 2-3 ft range. Now all my focus is for Regionals in April @ Sebastian Inlet, Fl. I can't wait for it.

The gulf has been pumping for a while already with all these winter swells. Also, this past weekend we got the Surf Expo in Orlando, Fl. Got me plenty of stuffs, said hi to sponsors and have plenty of fun, never dissapointed with the EXPO.

The 5th contest for ESA CFL took place in Cocoa Beach Pier. Glassy and cold 2-3 ft waves. Placing 2nd for Bodyboard Open.

Last event for ABA (Atlantic Bodyboarding Association) came down to Florida this past weekend. Wave conditions were poor. I didn't place in any final after competing in Open, Master and Pro divisions.

First cold front of the year came trough with plenty of waves for the gulf with more than 3 good days of surfing.11/5/05
The 4th contest for CFL ESA went on with poor wave conditions, placing 3rd for Bodyboard Open.

Another hurricane in the gulf, Wilma brought some good swell this past weekend, overhead, glassy and no wind for perfect conditions.

2nd ESA CFL contest today, waves 3-4 ft, glassy conditions in the morning. I got 1st place in Open Bodyboard.

From North Carolina, the ESA EASTERNS Championship is almost over. The Men Bodyboard division is set and done, waiting to watch the Junior division, plenty of talent there too. Myself, I advanced to semi and placed 4th, which gives me a 7th overall position for this year, I can't wait till next year to come back.

It's the end of the NKF Surfing Festival, 5 days of activities in Cocoa Beach, fl to raise money for thr National Kidney Foundation. I placed 4th in Bodyboard Open.

What a weekend in the gulf, Katrina has offered one of the best waves I've ever seen in the gulf. I surfed down in Brandenton, 4-6 ft waves, glassy, offshore winds, excellent conditions. Still plenty of surf all weekend long.
